Gorgeous hotel and great stay if you go knowing there will not be A/C or hot water

Pros: This is a gorgeous 18th century colonial building in a perfect location in Puerto de la Cruz. Our room's wooden balcony looked out on a plaza where we heard church bells. The hotel's atrium, with climbing vines is magnificent. The breakfast was solid. The rooftop endless rooftop pool, jacuzzi, and little sauna were all very nice. Cons: It's important to set expectations. Things the hotel does not have: A/C. At night you will need to have the windows open (fortunately no mosquitos), turn on the ceiling van (which does a little), and sleep without clothes. There is also no hot wa
