Not sure if the 3* status is quite justified for the hotel

Not sure if the 3* status is quite justified for the hotel. There are good features in the place such as spacious rooms with fundamentals and reasonably clean. I think it’s value for money and in an authentic place near the heart of Mexico’s historic city. It seems a garage is functioning from the basement with considerable noise of traffic and smoke shared with the rooms as you need the windows open to cool the room in the absence of an AC system. Out of four nights we did not have WiFi and the hotel was not bothered at all, while communicating in non-Spanish is not easy there.
