Back again: it remains a favourite. We spent four nights at Hotel ’t Sandt in Antwerp and loved every moment of our stay. The location is fantastic—just steps from the city square—yet the hotel itself is peaceful and quiet. Our room was unique, very comfortable, and offered a perfect place to rest after exploring the city. Breakfast was outstanding, with plenty of fresh, delicious options. 15/10 highly recommend. My husband and I wanted a hotel that was well located to use as a home base for the week we were spending in Antwerp. This hotel was that and SO MUCH MORE! First I must really comment on the staff - literally everyone was so pleasant and hospitable. But we really enjoyed all interactions with Renske, Evelin, and Stef. The staff is amazing!
We arrived in the evening and had trouble unpacking due to the dim lighting. Also, there was a sewage-like smell. Additionally, there was no kettle in the room, so our initial impression was not very good. However, the staff took great care of us and our rating improved significantly. Regarding the hot water, they quickly boiled some in the kitchen for us, and they also brought a stand for the lighting promptly.
