Cons: The room was impeccable, but the entrance area was very dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for days. The overflowing ashtray at the entrance also added to the unpleasant reception. There were no towels in my room, but that was quickly taken care of. I have known the house for many years. It's going downhill... what a pity ☹️

Great stay despite the heatwave!
Pros: The location is amazing, not in the center but close, the park nearby is superb and the access is easy (tram), flexibility for check-in!
Cons: The room is relatively small, the bed too. Unfortunately, the heatwave was challenging, a fan was provided but it was difficult (difficult to manage for the hotel, I don't blame them)

Affordable simple hotel near a nice park
Pros: We got a room at the top that was large and had a balcony. I don't think all double rooms had it, so we were lucky! The location is good, close to the beautiful Vondelpark and museums. The area right around the hotel was a bit stiff and snobbish for our taste but quiet and safe and as I said, close to a lot. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Very steep stairs and we stayed at the top. It didn't bother us but can be difficult for older people. Some parts of the hotel felt quite shabby and not so well-maintained. The breakfast was very simple and became more and more picked over each day w
