I have Globalist status with Hyatt; I spend a lot of nights in hotel rooms. I spent two week nights at this property. UberX from PHX was $45 on a Monday afternoon at 3:30 pm with surge pricing. I look a Lyft Standard back to PHX on a Wednesday morning at 7:00 am and it was $17. I stayed in the Hyatt Place side; my company has an office nearby and we have a decent corporate rate. I booked a King High Floor and that's what they put me in; I lightly inquired about the larger Specialty King showing on the app but since I was travelling solo, I didn't press for an upgrade. The location is great, especially if you have a student attending ASU. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience did not meet expectations. We stayed on a Friday night, and despite the advertised restaurant hours showing they were open until 10–11 p.m., the hotel restaurants were not serving past 8 p.m. The front desk ended up giving us a list of nearby restaurants instead. The rooftop bar was technically available, but it appeared to be a one-man operation with the same person cooking, bartending, and waiting on guests, so it really wasn't a practical option for us.
