Lovely stay in the heart of Street

Pros: We had everything we needed for our stay, and I really appreciated Jo's friendly, kind, welcome. I was well rested each morning after a good night’s sleep in the super comfortable bed, the high street was within walking distance and there was a nice little park at the end of the road. Perfect for my short stay in Street! Cons: It’s a little tricky getting there by public transport - there’s a train to Castle Cary and then an occasional bus; I believe some others travelled to Bristol and then a bus too. The host, Jo, is one of a kind. She’s an incredibly warm-hearted person who’s always there to help whenever you need it. You’re also welcome to use the kitchen and living room – and you can even have breakfast or dinner out in the garden. The concept of ‘hygge’ is very similar in meaning to the Austrian idea of ‘Gemütlichkeit’. That’s exactly what this accommodation offers – combined with the host’s impressive warmth. We were travelling by hire car – from Hygge, it’s just a few minutes’ drive to the centre of Glastonbury.

Pros: Room was very comfortable, bed was also comfy. The shared kitchen was a lovely idea with basic items of food were available, ie milk, cereals etc. The property was close to the town centre and the Clarkes Village, just a short 10 min. walk. Cons: En-suite was a tad small, but was sufficient for our needs.
