Top location with very good price/performance ratio

Pros: Perfect central location. Clean and functional rooms. Breakfast buffet simple but everything available. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Price/performance ratio very good in comparison. Prices higher in August due to Fringe Festival and Military Tattoo. Cons: City was overcrowded with people! A fridge in the room or a drinks vending machine in the lobby would be great, so chilled drinks could be available at any time.

This is a bad hostel claiming to be a hotel!

Pros: The only good thing about this hotel is the location; everything else was abysmal! Cons: Our room was filthy, with a huge wet stain on the carpet. The bathroom stunk so badly that we had to cover our faces to use the shower. There was no air conditioning, only one bedside table... Staff were unhelpful; when we asked for an extra pillow, they refused pillowcases to cover them! I was assured of safe gluten-free options... That didn't happen! The view was looking straight into other rooms... I've stayed in dozens of hotels all over the world, and this is at best a very poor hostel but charg
