Insel Hotel Bonn - Superior

Excellent comfort and lousy coms.

Pros: That I could tick all the smiley faces Cons: The wifi was generally awful for me. It is unsecured and although it displayed as a strong signal on the phone's screen when I checked the wifi page it registered "no internet connection on the insel hotel wifi. I got a login page when I first arrived and filled in the password given to me at check in. But I could not get a stable connection. Reason enough to look for another hotel with a secure wifi.

Pros: The location, the room was functional and I liked that it had a desk for working. Enjoyed the sauna as well, just be aware the floor is unusually slippery when wet. Cons: The room was very bright, too bright for zoom calls in the afternoon sun, and the blackout curtain wasn’t an option either for a biz call. That should be an easy fix. I could not make the AC work. There was one and I switched it on but nothing happened.
