Wonderfull stay
The hotel is very nice, staff is very helpfull and friendly. Only minor point i have is that the room doors cannot close without a lot of noise meaning banging doors all night. The doors should close with a lot less sound to prevent excessive noise for other guests.
Glorious The George
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous with a helpful, friendly staff to guarantee your stay is perfect. Monika at reception helped to ensure our stay was fabulous. Located near the city center. Daily breakfast with many choices. I will return!

AmEx upgraders be warned - your room might not be upgraded
This review is mainly geared to American Express Platinum cardholders who might book this through their "Hotel Collection". The George does NOT upgrade your room if you select the "Cosy" size room. We figured we'd get the automatic upgrade to a "Premium" room, as we usually get thanks to AmEx, but the woman at check-in gave us a very vague excuse as to why the hotel wouldn't allow it. The George did not appear to be fully booked during our visit, so I suspect they have a philosophy of "never upgrade the cheap room". It wouldn't have been a big deal except that the "Cosy" room is small, small
