Pros: Felt like we had the palace to ourselves. Very beautiful gardens and pool. Cons: Air conditioning needs replacing - it looks about 50 years old and is far too noisy to sleep with. Luckily it was pleasant enough with the windows open and the fan on.

Pros: The room was spacious, the bathroom was large, and the hotel had a beautiful palace-like feel. With a little more attention to maintenance, the overall experience could be even better. Cons: Upgrading the ceiling fans and providing a few additional charging points would significantly improve the overall comfort. While the bathtub was a pleasant feature, standing in it to use the shower felt slightly unstable and could be made safer and more user friendly.
Ok for a short stay.
Pros: Conveniently located, safe location. The staff was friendly and kind. A well maintained historic building. Cons: It’s quite noisy - lots of music, fireworks and traffic noise from the town, monkeys galloping heavily on the roof at all hours. There was a temple in the middle of the hotel with chanting for a special ceremony throughout the day, and many priests in the courtyard.
Quiet location and magnificent building
Pros: The buildings and gardens are lovely and quiet. The room is comfortable and the balcony is very pleasant. The staff is smiling and nice. It is walkable distance or a short tuktuk ride from the city center. Cons: The diner at the restaurant was disappointed but the breakfast was large and delicious( even with no eggs😅).
