Nicely located quiet and comfortable small hotel with easy and close access to walled city yet close to station and car

Pros: Very close to walled city centre in quiet location, comfortable room and bed, good shower, hot drinks and kettle, good minibar though we did not use this Only 10 minutes easy walk from station, we came by train, there is also public car park just round corner Friendly and helpful staff Good value considering York is a busy tourist city Cons: Nothing really, lack of public area eg bar lounge area for breakfast but this was clear before booking

Pros: Nice, clean, friendly, ideal location Cons: No elevator and had to carry bags up 2 flights of stairs

Pros: The room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable ,shower great with some lovely toiletries ,good coffee facilities, fridge full of extras if needed .Hotel well situated near the park and short walk from River and town centre . Cons: If you are on the ground floor, you have noise from people passing and cars parking ,didn't like to leave window open at night as they were sash windows and it did not feel safe leaving them open there was a fan in room which helped but the room was too hot for me that's a personal issue other people may like the heat ,also the shutters don't keep the lig

Pros: Location was excellent Cons: Bed was really solid and hard to sleep on. It felt like toilet roll and tea bags were rationed.
