Luxury afloat(well, afloat some of the time)

Pros: I love the location, was grateful for the availability of preserved and milk sachets for coffee. It’s so interesting watching the tide flow in and out past the window! Wading birds, an interesting historic ship next door and a superb Chinese restaurant near by, all bonus features! Cons: Hard to think of anything! It’s a superb place to stay. We look I suppose the river could be less murky/muddy but that’s this region, and you wouldn’t have birds pecking at the mud if it were a sterile river!

Pros: Everything, this barge is absolutely gorgeous!!! We wished we had it booked for longer. Cons: Cannot name anything.

Pros: Unique accommodation! Exceptionally well equipped, the hosts have gone above and beyond to make this place special. Cons: Nothing at all! We didn’t find the stairs a problem and we’re both in our 70s and my partner has 2 new knees!

Pros: If you’re looking for a quirky fun get away you should try Judith Barge. It’s a great location for visiting Colchester being only 10 min drive or 40 min walk to the town. There is a train station and bus stop near by but we didn’t use them. Big Tescos just round the corner for supplies. Great kitchen on board with all the pots, pans, plates and cutlery you will ever need. When the suns out the deck is a great place to sit out to eat and drink. Free parking next to the accommodation. Pros: Quirky, and something very different. Cons: Nothing to dislike, really enjoyed our stay.
