A Very Nice Room with Good Proximity to the Penguin Parade
We stayed overnight, choosing this location based upon TA reviews and proximity to the Penguin Parade. Overall, a nice room at a reasonable price. This property is a hybrid of hotel rooms, RV spots, and some clearly much longer-term trailer tenants. For context, we traveled with two large suitcases for a several week trip Down Under. This shaped our view of room sizes and bathroom counter space.
What we liked:
- We rented a spa room. It was pretty spacious, included a balcony, and the bathroom was nicely modern/refreshed. Plenty of space for our gear and decent bathroom counter spac

Avoid if camping
+ 1 star because the pool was nice.
- 1 star for not having a camp kitchen. Indicated on all maps, but when we arrived there was a concrete slab and 3 tables in its place.
- 1 star for the noisy bus that came and went during our first night as late as 10:40pm. Just sitting there engine running literally 3m from our tent.
- 1 star for rude staff. When mentioning how annoyed I was by the prior two points I basically was told “thanks for the feedback you’re welcome to leave if you’re not happy”
- 1 star for being overpriced. $110/night for a basic campsite considering all the above.
