Pleasant stay to start the holiday in Porto

Pros: The back garden was beautiful. We often sat on the terrace in the evenings and listened to the music from the music school. Parking at the back was great. Cons: Cleanliness of the terrace (ashtray with cigarettes and cigarette butts on the terrace. Very noisy. The upstairs neighbors could be heard. Even when showering and using the toilet. The fact that something drips afterwards was reported to the landlord. But there was no reaction. Hopefully, the black mold spots on the ceiling of the bedroom that we saw are not a problem.

Everything was good

Pros: Cozy room in a historic building. I was especially impressed by the high ceilings, huge windows, and beautiful original wooden shutters. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the house has a lovely inner courtyard. The windows face a street, but since the neighborhood isn't in the very center, it's quiet at night. There are charming cafés nearby, a food market, and a beautiful historic cemetery. I actually think it's a better place to stay than right in the city center. Cons: I can't think of any downsides—everything was great.

Big room and convenient location, issues with humidity and hosting

Pros: The heritage building is located in close proximity to public transport options in a moderately touristic area. It has good options for breakfast and dining around it. The room was quite big and comfortable, and had access to a common balcony and garden with the other rooms. Cons: There was a very heavy smell of humidity and a sense of mold in the room. It did not come from the bathroom, which was quite clean. The bed frame and the textiles in the room (not the bedsheets) were carrying that smell.
