Couldnt wait to escape. No front desk courtesy. Restaurant haphazard- waited ages. Hotel gloomy.
Pros: On the first night, being the first customer in the restaurant so the kitchen didnt mess up my order Cons: The hotel felt like walking onto the set of the film the Shining. Dark, Dismal, gloomy, sullen, no happiness. 1960's bathroom, old fashioned baths, water not hot, clumsy shower, tv remotes not working, awkward light switch arrangement. Generally dated.
The hotel is like a throwback to the early nineties but for a business stay it’s ok.
Pros: The staff were great. Cons: The breakfast is limited. The fry up is awful. The room smelt rather musty and the shower was ok if you are 5 ft tall. I had dinner there and it took 1 and a half hrs to arrive. The lady on the other table waited longer and it came out raw. However, other than the cook, the staff were very good. And friendly.

Pros: The room was reasonably clean, the breakfast was basic but decent, and the staff were polite and friendly. Cons: The hotel interior was very dated. The walls and windows were extremely thin, so I could clearly hear our neighbours coughing and using the toilet. Street noise, cold air and wind also came through the windows. The shower was old and in poor condition, spraying water in all directions, and the water temperature was difficult to regulate. The room felt cold, while the duvet was excessively thick and warm, making it difficult to sleep comfortably.
