My favorite hotel in Baltimore

I always enjoy staying at the Lord Baltimore Hotel. It's got history and character. It's a decent hotel but not super luxury so the prices are reasonable. I enjoy hanging out in the lobby, or in the lobby bar, it's often full of people and has a lively atmosphere. Especially fun if you're a baseball fan and you're staying there during an Orioles homestand, when the lobby and the area just outside the hotel are full of people wearing swag from both teams. Decent hotel for a short stay, bathrooms could be updated, staff was excellent

Pros: Absolutely loved the waitress, China, at the hotel restaurant. She was a breath of fresh air and the most kind person. She was and is top notch. Loved the vibe of the hotel lobby-felt very grand and the cafe/coffee shop was quick and the choices were excellent! Cons: The area was unsafe, a lot of drug users were across the street. The room AC didn’t work.

Disappointing hotel

About the only thing going for this hotel is the location. I requested maid service, but didn’t get it, which wasn’t a huge deal. Upon checking out, it took valet an HOUR to get my vehicle and I had to request it three times. Considering they charge $50 per night, I think service would be a little better. Do yourself a favor and stay at a different hotel in the area.
