I booked a room with A/C. Didn’t get that. It was hot. The guy at night that let me in didn’t wanna show me to my room. Finally, he took me to a room & said this will have to do. I said it’s not what I booked. He said, not my problem & left.
Probably the worst place I’ve been.
Place is utterly dirty. Extremely humid, only with fans in room. Prebooked private triple room, clearly got a dorm with 4 beds instead. 2 friends got sick during the stay, because of the extre humidity in the room, no way of cleaning the air. Big holes in all the mosquito nets. I will never recommend this place to any one, nor visit it again. Stay away.
Sexual Harrasment and Gross Misconduct.
I stayed at this place twice. The first time (April 8, 2021), I was with a group of other tourists - 4 guys and 2 girls - and nothing happened. The second time (April 12, 2021) I was alone because I had to do my covid test in Stone Town. That's when the harrasment occurred. The man at the front desk (with one fake eye), touched me inappropriately, putting his hands on my legs and waist. He was making sexual remarks like drinking beer and spending the night together. At one point, I was talking to another guest and he just stood there staring at us for a very long time. 30 min later, a mouse
