Expensive hotel with useless concierges
Very good location, Rooms are ok, but not excellent. Service is so-so, concierges are absolutely helpless, the worst concierge service I ever met at 5-stars hotels, food is so-so… not a proper value of money paid
Spectacular Views, but Service and Responsiveness Fell Short of Brand Standards
As long-time fans of the Mandarin Oriental portfolio (having loved our stays in Hong Kong and Miami), we were looking forward to our time in New York. I initially emailed customer service directly to share our experience, but after receiving no response, I am posting my feedback here. The location is excellent, right by Central Park and close to the subway, making it very easy to explore the city. The service was also very good, although not quite comparable to the high standard we experienced at the property in Thailand… After long and busy days in New York, the hotel was a wonderful place to relax and find some
I love this hotel
My week-long stay at the Mandarin Oriental, New York was nothing short of exceptional. I booked through Amex Travel, and from the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, I was treated with genuine warmth, kindness, and respect. Every member of the staff made me feel welcome, and the level of hospitality was evident in every interaction. The hotel itself is stunning. The rooms are beautifully appointed, impeccably maintained, and provide a peaceful retreat in the middle of New York City. Every detail reflected the high standard of excellence the Mandarin Oriental is known for. What trul
