A luxury hideaway in the city
Maniumpathy is a perfect location close enough to central Colombo but also a haven away from the hubbub of the city. Turning into the drive was like going back in time - arriving under the portico at the front of the building with the staff opening the door just as the car came to a stop! The cooling cloth to freshen and juice on arrival was just an indication of the fabulous indulgence we felt for our 2 night stay. Good base for Colombo
Sadly we only stayed here 1 night at the end of our trip. It is set in a residential area of Colombo. A lovely oasis with delightful pool. We had the best room in the place with a huge 4 poster bed. Service was excellent. I was worried about road noise but that did not materialise. Restaurant is very popular with non-residents.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
Absolutely delightful in every way. Attractive colonial type building only 7 rooms in hotel. Ours was beautifully furnished with an unusual “open to the skies” bathroom arrangement which worked perfectly. The breakfasts and juices were delicious and we enjoyed Thali dinner, all served on the veranda.. There is a traditional dining room with long table which would be wonderful if you had a large party and booked all the rooms. The service was first class, each of the team was so warm, friendly and helpful.
