Mercure Budapest Korona

It was a satisfying hotel.

Breakfast had good reviews in word of mouth, but it was even better in reality. We enjoyed delicious local ingredients every morning. Especially the 'freshly baked bread' was so tasty that we might have eaten a bit too much. The tram and subway stations were right in front of the hotel, making it easy for us to get around. When the staff realized we were travelers from Japan while clearing the dishes, he shared his impressions from his trip to Japan. We were also delighted and felt a sense of closeness.

Pros: hello I HATED not being able to have at least one person to speak French to.. the world doesn't revolve around English.. accor/ mercure is French I think.. I've traveled quite a bit in Europe.. ASIA.. for example, China and it's the first time at the reception of an internationally classified hotel establishment???????? I couldn't make myself understood in FRENCH well let's continue soon English will dominate I'll stop here because there's so much to say.. yes on my next trip I'll make sure to have at least one French-speaking interlocutor??? nb/ I'm of Hungarian origin born in Hungary..

Excellent location.

Pros: The hotel's location is excellent. The breakfast is excellent with a wide selection. Cons: The hotel could have a swimming pool as well.

Great location. Central part of the city. Many landmarks, museums, cafes, restaurants, etc. nearby. Not far from the Danube. Across the street, there is an express bus stop to the international airport. It runs on schedule. Interval 10-15 minutes. Takes 25-35 minutes for 2500 Ft. Great breakfast. A bit pricey, but recommended for transit passengers.
