Friendly owner and very comfortable stay.

Pros: The owner very kindly let us check in a little early. The room was spacious and comfortable, tea and coffee provided, very good self-service breakfast. Cons: Nothing really.

A pleasant stay. A little maintainance required but nothing major.

Pros: Mere Brook House is quiet and comfortable. The room was clean and tidy, but the door squeaked so a little oil was required. As with older properties the plumbing was a little noisy from the room next door but it didn’t cause too many disturbances. It would have been good to have better lighting in the room too. The open kitchen was a lovely touch and the breakfast was perfectly satisfactory. All in all a pleasant stay and Lawrence was a good host. Cons: Noisy plumbing, squeaky doors and poor lighting in the room.

Very welcoming, convenient and relaxing

Pros: Room and bathroom all very clean, bright, lovely crisp, cotton linen used. Self service continental breakfast was excellent. Great choice of food including lovely fresh berries. Lounge area comfortable, and manager kindly let us remain in lounge area past checkout t8me as we were attending a funeral later in the day. Cons: The mattress, whilst comfortable had a severe slope towards to head end which was not ideal, and there was a large amount of damp and mould, to which I am allergic along the top of the window over the dressing table. Mere Brook House and it's staff are a delight. It's also ideal if you have a dog as we do.

The self service breakfast options provided were most satisfactory offering an ample variety to give a good start to the day. The location of the hotel was ideal for the places we wanted to visit. It's not very far to travel to anywhere on the Wirral from this hotel. It possesses large, lovely well maintained grounds with plenty of parking space. Ideal to take a pet to stay. Our room was very spacious offering good storage for clothes, a very comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. The common areas of the hotel to be shared with other guests were roomy and offered comfortable seating. We will
