Great retreat - keep it a secret!

Gorgeous place, full of character and warm of welcome. Great atmosphere and staff obviously love what they do and are always watchful and ensure that you have a special time. Rooms are generous size and fitted and furnished to high quality. Very clean and tidy. Did-friendly was a great bonus for us. Then… the food is off the scale amazingly good. Definitely will return.

We have just had a wonderful stay here as my other half was doing the Great North Run. The staff were so helpful polite and attentive. The room was excellent spacious .really comfy beds full bathroom and had everything we needed as well as very quiet. So now comes the restaurant........ wow just wow the food was top notch all freshly cooked and some of the best Italian we have ever had. Portion sizes are not for the faint hearted ie great for a pre run carb load tea for my partner but so delicious 😋. The whole experience was great and should Chris get in the GNR again we will return and with
