Estancia perfecta
Will definitely stay at the hotel on my next trip to Southampton.
Pros: Convenient location (easy walking distance) to train station. Reception staff was welcoming and friendly as was the bar staff where that bar menu was adequate and well priced. Cons: N/A!
I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. Disappointing experience.
Pros: The location was OK, close to the port. Though you needed to take a taxi if you had luggage. I liked there were 2 free bottles of water, and that I could make coffee in the room. Cons: Dated hotel. Basic decoration. No Italian shower, for instance, no individual beauty products like skin lotion. Too expensive for the basic comfort.
Enjoyable stay, with only minor things to tweak
Pros: Location, broader facilities, staff. All of these were absolutely great - no complaints at all, and would definitely stay again. The room was a decent size too for three of us, and the separate toilet/bathroom is an appreciated benefit Cons: The foldout bed as not very comfortable, there was no proper coffee machine in the room (some seemed to have them in the photos of other rooms I was reviewing, and the coffee machine in the breakfast area either needs a serious clean or replacing (it tasted dirty, like there's been a serious build up in the pipes)
