Oaklands Hotel

A lovely hotel in pleasant surroundings. I would highly recommend it for business or leisure stays

Pros: Lovely location set well back from the road on a private driveway. Excellent, plentiful parking. Friendly, welcoming staff, very clean and tidy facilities. Lovely sunny terrace. Comfortable ensuite room with bath and shower over. Not far away from the city but far enough to be fairly tranquil. Close to the river and a pleasant green area. Bus stops in close proximity with regular buses into the city centre. Cons: Possibly a more varied menu would have been nice but that's just nit-picking really. The food I had was beautifully cooked and promptly served by attentive staff.

Cons: I had paid extra to check in early, however, my room was not ready whilst my friend requested the early check in later than myself, her room was ready before 12 midday

Cons: I had paid extra to check in early, however, my room was not ready whilst my friend requested the early check in later than myself, her room was ready before 12 midday. I had to use my friends room to get changed for the wedding I was attending. Basically paid extra for nothing.
