Somewhat decadent hotel with excellent location

Pros: It is the best location to visit Kuala Lumpur. You are in the midst of the nightlife, the market, Life River, Petaling... next to the hotel there are currency exchange offices, laundries, restaurants... It has a rooftop pool. Very good price. Cons: The facilities are neglected, the bedding needs to be renewed, it has many stains. In the room, you turn on and off all the lights from the entrance, even the one in the bathroom. I had to move around with the flashlight of my phone. There were no outlets on the bedside table either. The elevator is very old and very noisy. Ask for a room far

Excellent value for money

Pros: Excellent value for money. Spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed Cons: I tried a windowless room for the first time. Smell of mustiness and dampness.

Overall really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely book to stay again!

We booked a few nights at the Pacific Express Hotel and overall really enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely and even kept our bags securely when we were waiting to head to the airport. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Hitam was located right next door to the market, near the river of life and a short walk to 7/11. The pool was so nice and had a beautiful view.

Cons: Difficult parking. The swimming pool is not suitable for children. Operating hours are only from 9 am to 7 pm
