Beautiful, but in need of renovation
Beautiful classic hotel in a superb location. Great staff. However, the rooms are very outdated and need a full renovation. Unacceptable not to have any content in the minibar or at least a bottle of water in the room.

Great hotel, but...
Great hotel, but...... I was shocked that they charge an extortionate amount for bottled water (from the mini-bar). I complained that bottled water should be free and refreshed every day. Instead, they give a bottle of Port for free. I do not drink alcohol! Most 5-star hotels that I have stayed at over the decades provide water free of charge. Shame on the Manager of the Palacio.
