Hotel near theatre.

Good value and central location. Friendly staff and good breakfast although cooked breakfast not available. Opposite Marlowe Theatre which is handy for theatre goers.

£140 for a city centre double room, even adding £16 for the car park, is good value. Period.

Pros: All the basics were there. We came for a visit to the Marlowe Theatre, which is just across the way. We knew there was no parking, though that wasn't obvious from the web ad. (If it says "Most popular facilities - parking", you kind of expect a car park. Wrong.) Cons: If your're expecting top service, or a cooked breakfast, you're in the wrong place. It had the vibe of a group of young men who would rather listen to their sounds than actually fetch you something. But it all got done, eventually.
