Romantic ground floor suite in Pijp near Sarphatipark

It was okay, a bit expensive. But if you’re exploring Amsterdam area, this is not a bad place to stay.

Pros: It was walking distance to everything. Cons: There was no air conditioning. The room can get really warm on summer days. There is a fan, but I highly recommend putting an air conditioner to make it more comfortable to sleep at night. The toilet blocks easily too. We followed the instructions very strictly but on the our last day the toilet unfortunately blocked and we couldn’t fix it. I did message the owner to let them know of the situation.

Great location!!

Pros: Amazing location and space, so easy to find and use. Cons: Unfortunately, and not the owners fault at all!, the conservation rules mean there are no opening windows. Which probably makes it quite cozy in winter but was pretty horrible during the heatwave

Average room with good location

Pros: Location Cons: There is no AC in mid-summer. No paper tissues. Only a standing fan is available. Bed is too soft for us. Feeling like 4-star price for a 2.5 star room, with high premium charge for its ideal location.

Not all it’s cracked up to be

Pros: The location was great. The room was clean & tidy. Some nice personal touches from the host Cons: The property was advertised as a romantic get away - Amsterdam itself was romantic however the property failed to deliver It is a converted garage type building with one bedroom, toilet / shower room & some weird cubby hole above the bathroom You enter the room and are greeted by the bed.
