Overall a good experience.
Pros: Beautiful old building. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Facilities and extra touches like fresh milk in fridge very good. Location ideal for festivals. Cons: Decor and bathroom fitting was nice but finishing needed some attention. Climb to top floor a bit gruelling and likely to be very hot up there in summer. Noise from street cleaners/refuse removal disturbed sleep from very early morning (though we did have window open).
Great Location
Pros: Great location at the best end of the Promenade. Good value for money. Useful Kitchenette withe tea bags, coffee and semi skimmed milk provided. Cons: We found the entry code front door and bedroom locks difficult and stressful to use. We stayed in Room 2. The shower was extremely difficult to get in and out of, because it had sliding doors that didn't open wide enough. I think the shower was a mixer tap and not thermostatic, as it was difficult to get the right temperature. The room wasn't serviced daily.

Friendly helpful staff both before and during stay Position was perfect for the festival. Lovely big bedroom with balcony where the four of us could get together.
Avoid Room 10 - Family Room. Not fit for purpose, dark and filthy.
Pros: The location was perfect. The building itself it beautiful. Front of the hotel is in a lovely part of Cheltenham town centre. Cons: The room was not clean. Vape from previous occupant on floor by the bed. The kitchenette area was really dirty with the kettle, toaster and microwave all running off the same extension lead. Dust pan and brush hanging up over the worktop and all debrise falling onto the unit. The bathroom was tiny. People of a larger size would struggle to fit through the shower door and a parent would not be able to wash their child without actually getting in the shower wi
