Va is a night at the castle

Pros: Great room, comfortable bed, café's outdoor seating, you could play billiards, boules, kubb, chess, backgammon, Scrabble, etc. Nice surroundings. Took the guided tour which cost 140 SEK and it was also good Cons: The breakfast was not great. It was not replenished enough, it did not say what kind of juice it was (there were three different containers), the tables were cleared but crumbs remained, the homemade muesli tasted a bit burnt, no whipped cream for the pancakes, too little fruit and berries, no toaster (and no toast)

Pros: Amazing historic place in beautiful environment. Pet-friendly. Service-minded staff. The castle is a cultural and historic heritage. Dogs allowed in the dining area and were offered both a bowl of water and a bone Cons: Nothing. But stay more than one night

After a disappointing start due to the room size, we enjoyed our stay with an excellent breakfast and evening meal

Pros: We booked for two nights and had different rooms each night. The first room was really small for two people with suitcases. Hardly any space for clothes or storage. Bathroom set for one person not two with a lack of toiletries as expected on booking site. The duvet was not big enough to overlap the bed. Having complained we were upgraded to the highest standard room which was spacious and very comfortable. The staff dealt with our complaint with understanding and did not charge for the upgrade Cons: It was difficult to find our way around the site and involved much walking. Limited choic
