Sandman Signature Calgary Downtown Hotel

Good price, excellent amenities and location.

Pros: The pool, gym, and location are excellent. The staff was polite and helpful. Cons: The stay was good, but issues not really tied to the hotel.

Room was dated and rundown. Few room issues . Location good but construction in front of hotel.

Pros: Parking and staff were good . Cons: Room was dated and run down. Lightbulbs were out in the bathroom, fridge was broken and the carpet was ripped up by bathroom . The thermostat in the room didn’t work and it was hot .

Facilities and staff were wonderful

Pros: The staff were lovely, room was big and every convenience provided. Cons: The location had its good and bad points. A lot of homeless people hanging around due to being at the end of the c-train free section of the rail-line, which made me somewhat uncomfortable. However, if this is of no bother to others then I couldn't fault it.

Pros: Lovely hotel overall. Comfortable bed. Especially nice pool and fitness room. Very good value for downtown location. Cons: Construction in front of hotel confused our Uber pick up.

Affordable place to stay close to the Calgary downtown.

Pros: Location close to whole downtown via “ skywalk” and the restaurant at the ground floor “MOXIE” Cons: The homeless situation around the hotel is a bad mark . The urine smell and dirtiness around the hotel due to the homeless people and lack of proper policies to sort out the situation by the Calgary council is giving a bad reputation to the area around the hotel . No feeling safe after sunset is not the best situation for someone visiting the city .
