very good all in all

Pros: liked visiting the shrine and walking in the botanic gardens just over the road Cons: Needed more little milks for tea and coffee, disappointed only instant coffee, thought there might be a pod machine

Shabby but great location!

This place is very dated and in great need of some TLC, although it is in a great location right next to the Botanic Gardens and the Shrine of Remembrance. Unfortunately we had no view, only looking straight out onto a construction site. Our room had an ancient shower over a rusty bath and minimal kitchen equipment. During our week-long stay we had to go out and buy a pair of scissors and a sharp knife. The wi-fi, I have to say, is totally useless. The staff were all very friendly and helpful at all times. We appreciated the use of a washing machine and dryer.

Pros: Location is superb Cons: Found out on the day of booking pool was closed for repairs. However they offered to refund a trip to the local pool which was not far away

Beautiful hotel to stay at for a night or more if you have the time. Would definitely come back to stay here

Pros: The view from our room, the cleanliness of the hotel, where it was located Cons: The air conditioning fan noise was a bit noisy to sleep with
