Pros: A perfect location with beautiful interiors, clean and comfortable rooms and the friendliest staff in Stone Town! A friend recommended this boutique and the only thing we didn’t like was that we only got to stay one night! The team created a beautiful bed decoration for our honeymoon and even made a cake and sang for my husband’s birthday. I’ll be recommending the Sharazad to anyone I know who goes to Zanzibar. Cons: Nothing - we loved it all.

A true gem in Stone Town

Pros: What a gem. This boutique hotel is set in a beautiful old house, full of character, with decor and atmosphere that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a different era of Zanzibar. Our room was spotless and smelled of lemongrass — such a nice touch. Towels fluffy and super clean. Breakfast was à la carte, which was a lovely change from the usual — felt more personal and fresh each morning. One evening there was live music, which added a really special touch to the atmosphere.
