We love staying at the Balfour, staff are great, very welcoming, authentic Queenslanders.
Pros: Great location, easy to walk to the city cat terminal and travel on the river to South Bank etc. Cons: In an otherwise immaculate bathroom it was a discordant note to find for the second time and in a different room that the cleaners need to scrub around the base of the handbasin taps.

Stylish, warm and comfortable
Pros: Location was a really nice neighbourhood with lots of cafes and restaurants. Cons: Room was a little dark, we like a lot of natural light.
Great staff, terrible room (suite 12)
Pros: Staff amazing. Cons: Accommodation poor (suite 12). For the same money we had two nights at the Emporium which was outstanding (room 1701).
The duty manager handled our issue very well and we got upgraded without any fuss.
Pros: An urban inner city oasis with a nod to past architecture. Cons: The hot water in our original unit did not work.
