Stylish and homely 1 bed Edwardian Coach House

A beautiful, peaceful little home from home with wonderfully thoughtful hosts.

I had such a lovely stay at The Coach House. It was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable and had everything I needed. I arrived quite late and was staying on my own, but immediately felt completely comfortable and at home. The welcome basket was such a thoughtful touch, and Victoria and Alex were wonderful hosts friendly, helpful and clearly genuinely care about their guests. The location was also perfect for walking into Colchester. I would very happily stay again!

Excellent property

Pros: Everything you need for a short or longer stay. The hosts are really thoughtful with the facilities, very clean and comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights and can't fault anything. Cons: Everything was perfect.

Needs a new bed and kitchen hood

Pros: Most aspects were good. This includes the cleanliness, provisions and little details. A couple of "bigger issues" are problems that the owners could address with relative ease to prevent spoiling the overall good impressions. Cons: The bed is very noisy with every move. There is no exhaust ventilation above the stove. This caused the smoke alarm to go off. The ear-piercing noise gave us headaches.

Comfortable and pleasant

Attractive, comfortable and well-fitted. Walkable into the town centre. Options include buses and taxis. Thoughtful, generous hosts.
