Beautiful clean quiet hotel
Pros: Cleanliness. I requested a third floor room with windows all round. For an affordable additional price in winter you can rent a heater which works very well. Cons: I did not notice that it was 30 minutes by car from Ollantaytambo. But a collectivo runs regularly.
Lovely time in the Urubamba Valley
Pros: The hostel is located about 7 km from Urubamba in Yanahuara. Coming from Urubamba, get off at the first stop and go right up the mountain about 250 meters. The location is quiet, you can easily get to Urubamba by Colectivo (2-3 Soles) to take the bus to Ollantaytambo from there. The staff prepares a lovely breakfast with a fantastic view over the valley. Since heaters are not common in Peru, it can get cold at night/mornings in the hostel, so bring warm clothing. Service, cleanliness, food. Everything was great. And the view from my room - magnificent
Lovely staff, great value for money, remote location
Pros: The staff is incredibly friendly, she doesn't speak any English but is super happy to help with anything like getting a heater, lunch, transport options etc. The area is very calm with no noise around the area, the views are incredible as well. The value for money is great, you get everything for a good price. To get to Machu Picchu, a short 8-minute walk away, there is a stop for Colectivo that goes straight to Ollantaytambo in just 20 minutes. Cons: The room is quite cold, but the owner brought a heater once we asked. The beds also have many layers of blankets so it's not cold to sleep
