Pros: We recently stayed at Sugar Cane Hotel and Spa in Barbados. The setting itself is absolutely beautiful, the view over the garden/jungle is stunning, and seeing monkeys from your balcony is truly special. Cons: Unfortunately, the service experience was very inconsistent. Staff were either very friendly or extremely unfriendly, there was no middle ground. The woman at reception, in particular, was shockingly unhelpful and unfriendly. We have honestly never experienced anything like it. Pros: Mostly everything about the place, especially how proactive the staff are! Cons: The bathroom could have been cleaner and more pleasant to the smell upon checking in. They should have better linens available to capture the excess water which easily escapes the shower stalls during showers.
