Great choice for Chicago visit

We stayed at the Allegro Hotel for 2 nights for a midweek staycation in Chicago with my mom. The location was perfect for our various excursions in the theater district and lakefront. The building has been a hotel for over 100 years and Royal Sonesta has taken it back to it's Art Deco roots which are lovely. It does mean the rooms are small, but are beautifully appointed. The service and hospitality were excellent. The Legato Lounge (bar & restaurant) had great drinks and food. We had breakfast both mornings in the hotel and it was delicious. Mom's poached eggs came out perfectly! The server

perfect as always

it is a structure that I know well, I have been there several times precisely for the service, location and the very deco architectural part. the location is perfect because it is 10 minutes from the restaurant area and more but at the same time much quieter.

Great hotel and location

The hotel is in a great location. The hotel and the guest rooms were beautiful will definitely stay there next trip to Chicago.
