A Lovely Houseboat Experience, but Less Private Than Expected

Pros: The terrace is absolutely wonderful. Sitting right on the water, watching the boats go by and enjoying a cup of tea was definitely the highlight of our stay. The room was smaller than I expected, but overall it had everything we needed and was comfortable enough for a short stay. Staying on a houseboat in Amsterdam was a lovely and unique experience. However, the one thing I missed was a sense of privacy. Cons: The owner’s accommodation is located right next to the guest room, and you naturally pass by it whenever you go to the terrace. Logement insolite cosy à ne pas manquer !

Une superbe découverte à Amsterdam ! Le logement est petit mais parfaitement aménagé, avec tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un agréable séjour. Il est surtout hyper propre, ce qui est vraiment appréciable. Le fait de dormir sur l’eau rend l’expérience encore plus insolite et dépaysante. Le logement est situé dans un très joli quartier, au calme, tout en étant proche du métro et facilement accessible depuis le centre en transports. Et gros coup de cœur pour les petites attentions de l’hôte. Le moindre détail y est pensé : cotons, dentifrice, protections hygiéniques… même les petits oublis

Unique Amsterdam Experience

Pros: The houseboat was a unique experience for us. We liked the experience of staying on the canal. The location was good and had plenty of restaurants around the area. The bed was was very comfortable and we had a very nice sleep. We liked the host Michelle, she was very nice, warm, and welcoming. Cons: We visited during summer and we had to open the windows at night. Since it's the canal there were mosquitos all over. I think having some screen or mosquito nets would help. We stayed for 6 nights and traveling Europe for 3 weeks. There was not enough luggage and storage space for two luggage
