Cons: We stayed in room 3 The shower was a fixed overhead and was too low, needs updating to a removable shower head. The shower was in the bath, getting out of the bath, there was nothing to hold onto, felt like an accident waiting to happen. Large lamps unnecessary, took up too much room on bedside table.

Cons: The closeness to very busy noisy toads, made sleep difficult. Dinner meal was hit and miss, one dish - chicken was delicious. Other two dishes of onglet steak weren’t good. The steaks smelt very pungent and tasted off. My son was so hungry he swallowed it all. My husband ate very little. We did, when asked if everything was ok, tell them about the steaks. Pros: The location was a lovely setting in the heart of Long Melford. The village is lovely with lots of historic buildings nearby. The staff are lovely. If you have dinner in the restaurant I would thoroughly recommend the Haddock one of the nicest pieces of fish I have ever tasted.
Cons: Unfortunately we made the mistake of booking the standard room number 10. It was very small and the double bed almost filled up the room. I hit my leg a couple of times trying to go around it. Cons: Cold room with outdated and cold bathroom. Plug-in electric heaters not acceptable. Staff not very helpful. Room not as requested but this was rectified.
