This place is for senior 60+ travelers only!
Pros: The location is great. If you are 60+ you would love it. But the is historical and then there is outdated and old and unfortunately this was outdated and old. It does not feel like a luxury hotel. Next time I will stay somewhere else. It is the same pricing of much nicer and newer luxury hotels in the area. Cons: old in a not so great way. I love architecture and history but this place has been made much effort in updating in ways that still makes for a great experience. Severly outdated to the point the place felt dead.
Great location but don't expect modern conveniences.
Pros: We had an upgraded room with an amazing view of the lake, museums and the park. Cons: The staff were ok but really indifferent and the facilities are older.
Decent stay
This hotel has a very fancy lobby but on the weekends doesn’t provide breakfast to elite members; they provide 750 points in lieu of breakfast. They didn’t post that or my 1000 points welcome gift and I had to call Marriott customer service to get it posted. The room was decent, but nothing spectacular for the price. If you like staying in old hotels with history this is the place for you, but I can’t say it was that amazing for what you pay for. I must say though that their Spanish restaurant in the lobby had some impressive food that I used up my food and beverage credit for! They did honor
Bella struttura storica
Pros: Hotel antico ristrutturato. Hall molto bella, sebbene un po’ buia. La nostra camera vista lago era enorme e bella. Bel centro fitness. Cons: Tutto bello se piacciono le strutture storiche, ma nulla di eccezionale. Personale in generale gentile, ma non tutti. Caffè/bar nella struttura abbastanza di bassa qualità per gli standard US.
