Pros: The beds were comfortable. The staff friendly an helpful The real ale was great and reasonably priced. The views of the landscape was gorgeous I would recommend this place to anyone for a walking holiday. Or maybe a nice lunch or dinner. Cons: The room we stayed in needed more than one pillow. Or access of such in cupboard. Rather than having to ask for one. The price of the food was probably average. But maybe a little higher than I would of liked.
Pros: Was advised on arrival to go back for 4.30pm as check in was not from then. Had to highlight it was from 3pm. I had requested a quiet room in advance and placed in a small room on main road. Could not sleep with window open due to noise and no fan provided, despite being heatwave and only guest booked in that night. 4ft bed so no room to move without fear of falling out of bed and hairs found on the floor. Breakfast was good. Overall a very a very disappointing stay amd not good value for money. Cons: Had to advise staff of check in time.Small double bed, small room, cleanliness, road n

Pros: The location is good if you have a car and you are going to event in the Holmfirth area. It is a lovely spot and we had a great view. The staff were fabulous and the breakfast was amazing. Cons: The room is very small. Even with just two of us it was a bit cramped and the bed wasn’t really a double, more like a 3/4. It was ok for one night.
