The Carmichael - Hull City Centre

Quick stop off for a night out. Cheap and cheerful, close to the centre. Couldnt fault it

Pros: Bed was solid as !!! Perfect for a good nights sleep! 😴 👌 Cons: The mrs was moaning, and snoring!! 🤦‍♂️

Pros: Good location , fairly quiet in and outside hotel . friendly staff . Large rooms. Cons: Sorry to say …gym advertised but £4 extra for my stay ?can only use after 14:00! No water , fan/aircon , no wipes for equipment , the 2 I tried were defective / broken . Shower very poor pressure and either scolding hot or cold , very annoying , dispensers barely dispense anything but then leak ( all of ) continually and very poor quality . No spoon or saucer for tea /coffee and milk was sour and off . Never known a uk residence where you can’t drink the tap water , water machine is provided on land

Cons: I booked and paid for a superior double room of 24 sq.m. On arrival I was offered a room of abt 12.5 sq.m. After my complaint they moved me to a room slightly bigger but still far from what I paid for - 15.2 sq.m. The "excuse" I was given instead was "we are fully booked, and no other rooms available". Yet, in a rush I did not notice before booking that this hotel does not offer any breakfast. That was a weekend (fm 10 to 11 Oct) and to my unluck all other decent hotels like both Holidays Inn City and Marina (I stayed in Marina the other few week days before this Sat and paid there
