Good break

Pros: The staff were lovely and helpful, the food was great, breakfast brilliant. Cons: We didn't like the size of our room, supposed to be deluxe double, but it was very pokey, bathroom tiny, very tight getting round the bed.

Very good. Out family enjoyed visit at The Chequers Inn.

Pros: Spacious family room was exactly what we had been looking for. The bathroom was large and accommodated all our needs. The views over the fields with horses were amazing, creating a very calming and relaxing atmosphere. Cons: The only areas for improvement would be the cleanliness of the room and carpet, as well as faster internet access.

Lovely location, spoiled by cramped room and indifferent staff.

Pros: Location, food, cleanliness, playground for kids, comfortable bed. Cons: Room was very small and cramped which meant that moving around was awkward. Bathroom was similar with a tiny basin with a shelf above making it impossible to avoid water falling onto floor. Maybe room should just be advertised as single and not double. Breakfast was good and breakfast staff were friendly. However one member of bar staff made us feel uncomfortable after we had had an especially difficult day involving a visit to A&E on the island. We had booked a table online at the last minute for dinner as had left
