Characterful, lovely property, but could do with a little upgrading.

Pros: The unique features were fabulous and interesting, loved the decor and aesthetic design Cons: The kitchen needs attention, the kitchen cupboards seem to be cobbled together,the fridge should be replaced as shelves broken and would be better by the sink and the bin put under the stairs, the end panel by the sink is a leftover piece of worktop that has a draining area?? We washed everything before use and one mug was horribly stained. Bathrooms need a deep clean especially around the skirting, ample toiletries supplied. Welcoming Woodchester getaway, comfortable accommodation with high quality food and service.

It was a perfect self contained bolt hole for my husband and I. The Old Fleece is a superb pub with exceptional food- breakfast in particular was outstanding. All of the staff we interacted with were welcoming and helpful. Aesthetically I loved the blend of stone, wood, metalwork with leather and chandeliers in the restaurant - great loos too. We were visiting the nearby Woodchester Valley Vineyard so we were perfectly located and I’d fully recommend.

Pros: Lovely just the shower tray over flows and mould in bathroom would be good to sort and the clear all weeds at front would take 2 mins and make the entrance a lot more welcoming Cons: Lovely and cosy

Half way stopover

Pros: Absolutely loved the querkiness. Fantastic for one or two nights. We travelled as a family, sharing the two properties which worked out perfectly. Cons: If you're not used to traffic noise, it's pretty busy as it's directly by the roadside. Everything else was good.

Cons: Shower needs a good clean
