Pros: If you are looking for an overnight stay before going to Stansted airport then I cannot recommend the Cock Inn highly enough. The welcome we received from the gentlemen on the bar was very nice, the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The ladies who served in the morning were very friendly. The breakfast was a full English cooked to order. Checking out was very easy. Overall a very pleasant stay. Cons: Nothing

English hospitality at it's core

Pros: Everyone and everything was just typical english excellence. The food was exactly what we wanted and the surroundings are just steeped in history. I would definitely recommend this pub to all. Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.

Pros: Convenient on my journey. Bed was comfy. Cons: Staff weren’t all that helpful.

Pros: Staff were fantastically polite and nothing was to much trouble made you feel at ease straight away as its a locals pub. Food was great, bar area was good to sit in have a meal and drink, breakfast was really good quality products, rooms were comfortable had everything I needed i would definitely stay again. Cons: Tv was a bit small thats the only thing I can think of.

Comfortable and friendly pub with good food and welcoming staff

Pros: The Cock Inn is well appointed room rise with the pub being split into a bar and a restaurant area. The decor inside is very nice with timber beams etc so is a pleasant place to spend time. The food was great, freshly made and piping hot. The bar staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious and exactly as promised in the listing. Wi-Fi was speedy too. Cons: Nothing. It served my needs perfectly.
