An excellent choice. Thoroughly recommended.
Pros: The service was excellent in all respects. Friendly and efficient, welcoming and responsive to requests. We greatly enjoyed the breakfasts. Best of all was the room itself - well-equipped, comfortable and exceptionally spacious.
Cons: The Crab and Lobster has a reputation for fine dining and no doubt deserves is. For our tastes, the menu was a little too out of the ordinary - trying to hard to be different - and it was expensive. Having said that, we did have one excellent meal there. We cannot recommend the non-alcoholic wine with which we experimented but that's not a problem uni

Fourth time we have visited and would certainly like to go back again in the future.
Lovely, really helpful staff. Excellent food (lunch outside under cover), very good breakfast. Rooms very comfortable with all the ingredients you would wish for. Honestly cannot find fault.

Cons: Power failure meant we couldnt eat at the restaurant and they didn't pre warn us about it prior to coming which was disappointing

Lovely setting and would be happy to stay again and try the evening meals plus more local walks
Pros: Breakfast was very good sadly we were not able to have dinner on either night as we were seeing friends in the area. Could walk to the caravan site they were staying at which was lovely and cool in the evening and pub even provided torches for the room. There was also a fan which was much appreciated in current heatwave plus fresh milk in the fridge.,
Cons: Suggest lighting in accommodation area lowered at night as light shone through doorframe and we like a very dark bedroom as easier to sleep. Found tv difficult to get any normal channels would be helpful for a written guide for us

Lovely break. Will return.
Pros: The location is wonderful . Cosy bedroom, characterful , well maintained and stylish decor. Good quality bedding and towels. Fresh flowers were lovely, I love flowers and hardly any rooms have them these days so that was special. Bramley toiletries always smell so nice! Excellent supper and breakfasts. Lovely smiling and efficient staff. Scenic walks from the front door.
Cons: The only improvement I would make is a shelf/table in the bathroom to put your wash bag.
