Nice hotel, could be better

Pros: The garden was very nice. Ample parking. The place was spotless. The library was a nice room to spend time in. The kind staff really made the hotel. Cons: The road is rather noisy and the sounds from the room above woke us early each morning. Better soundproofing is advised. On the first morning, the buffet had run out of croissants by 9:15. The restaurant is extremely expensive for very small portions at dinner - one of the smallest fillets of fish I've ever had with two bits of broccoli and two potatoes costs £28. I think the hotel could do with some improvements. Thankfully th
