A nice stay ruined by the staff when we checked out

Pros: This would have been an enjoyable stay if the staff had not added the remainder of our deposit to our bill under spurious and seemingly random "staff charges" and had not informed us of this. Cons: On check in, we were asked for 50 pounds deposit a night, told it was to cover the minibar and would be returned. This is common in London and I paid 100 for 2 nights. On check out I was presented a bill to sign without comment and asked to sign it. They asked if I had used the mini bar and I said no. We never use it. I knew I owed for a breakfast and was owed about 40 pounds. I checked the

It always a pleasant place to stay. I was in London for the first weekend of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

Pros: I am always warmly greeted as I have been going to this hotel for a number of years now. Cons: Nothing not to like.
