Pros: Great location, very clean. Doormen were very friendly and helpful. Cons: Went to check in at 3pm, room not ready. Not good enough for the price you pay. Card key didn't work.

Perfect stay in York. Can't wait to return to York and the Grand York!
Pros: The Grand York was far and away the best of 4 hotels we stayed in, all the same class, on our recent trip to the UK. The room and bathroom were lovely and new, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was outstanding. We really appreciated how bright the bathroom lighting was as well as the lighting in the room (especially since in some of the other hotels the lighting was very poor). The breakfast room was large with a large wall of windows. Such a nice view first thing in the morning. The location, so near the train station and walkable to all attractions was perfect! Exceptional hotel with great rooms and service.
Pros: We spent 4 nights at the Grand. The staff was exceptional. The room was very comfortable and the bath and shower were a delight. Breakfast was.included with the room rate and offered a wide variety of selections. It is conveniently located near the city center. It made our stay a a wonderful experience. Cons: It is not cheap. But you certainly get what you pay for.. We look forward to returning some day..
